2013 Magnolia State "This is the Way We Praise Him" Showcase 2013
On behalf of The We Make It Better Foundation, WDBD, WLBT and 95.5 Hallelujah FM thank you so much for making the Magnolia State: This Is The Way We Praise Him" Showcase a huge success! It is a phenomenal movement that will help to enhance the lives and healthcare of young patients at the Blair E. Batson Hospital for Children. It was an amazing night of unity!

Representatives and sponsors of the 2013 Magnolia State: "This Is the Way We Praise Him" Showcase presented the proceeds of the event to Blair E. Batson Hospital for Children. The event raised nearly $10,000 for Mississippi's Only Children's Hospital. Rules: Each choir and/or praise team is required to render a $150.00 donation along with a minimum pledge of $500 that will go towards raising proceeds for the Blair E. Batson Hospital for Children. Each group must perform a minimum of two gospel/inspirational songs of their choice. Each presentation must not exceed 5 minutes; presentations that exceed the allotted time frame will be disqualified. You may be asked to present additional songs the night of the event so please have a third selection prepared. This is a fun and friendly event among the musical talent throughout the state of Mississippi with the sole intent of raising money to benefit Blair E. Batson Hospital for Children, as well as creating a sense of unity and fellowship in the community. Therefore, raising awareness and building relationships for the Blair E. Batson Hospital for Children and promoting its significance in our community. No cash prizes will be awarded. The event will include a three prize tier of 1st place runner up, 1st place, and Grand Prize Winner. A trophy will be awarded along with 3 complimentary souvenir journals to the grand prize winner. All winners will be chosen by a panel of musically acclaimed experts the night of the presentations. Each choir will be allowed to use the onsite instruments. Each performance must be live; no tracks or pre-recorded background music is permitted. Churches that have both a praise team and a choir are allowed to submit dual entries; however there is a separate entry donation for each group.
Please note that the $150 fee is non-refundable and will be used as a donation to the hospital *if* choir/group is not selected. Unfortunately, all groups will not be able to participate in the showcase presentation that evening and your group will be notified if selected.
